4 in class today.Warm up with brush drills… Same side, cross side, triple tap. Continued reviewing white and yellow belt material in prep for their test. Last 15 min of class, very brief intro/discussion regarding edged weapon, blunt weapon, and pistol.

4 in class today… Continued working on brush trap (same side and cross)… Learning to dynamically switch hands during the drill… And things to do after each drill. Introduced the 1st two, simplest, counter traps. Finished by reviewing 3 yellow belt cross arm techniques.#combathapkido

Tax Day 🙁 We worked on distraction vs destruction… Targeting, follow through, and going molasses-slow… One student commented it is easier to see what is happening when we go super slow… My response? … “Exactly! .. speed will come… learn how to move first.” Good times!

Small class post-spring break. Worked on all purple belt material, 5 to 6th degree material, cane material. For the last 15 min of class we did “student choice”… That is, ” You come up with a scenario of any type… Let’s figure out what you can do from there.” Had 1 “on a bus” scenario…

Started with review of kicks and strikes up thru yellow belt. The 45 min on material from Dynamic Combat Hapkido… That is dealing with when to take the initiative… How to distract do take control of an arm and want to do after that. Questions were asked realted to the agressor “charging”… Refeverted back to…
